Little Pink Rose

I have this rose for a long time.

The number of flowers is quite amazing. I propagate this rose. It was a rose tree that was always sick. Well, the "baby" is never sick! It is a beautiful plant.

Red Roses

This is one of my very favorite rose. The picture does not really show the beautiful red that this rose has. I am not sure how I got this rose.

I am trying to propagate it so I can have a few more in my front yard. It is a dark, vibrant, hot red.

Small Red Roses

This is another small rose bush that is planted in my yard.  Not much transformation in color during the life of the rose, but I still like this rose bush.

Salmon Little Roses

I have these roses for quite a long time. They are in my front yard. They are very small roses.

They eventually transform their colors into light pink. I love to see the whole transformation process.

My Garden - Salmon Rose

This is a very interesting rose. It is small, not only the plant but also the flower. It starts as salmon.

Then starts to change to pink and white...

Here are two flowers: one still almost all salmon, but changing colors at the borders, and the pink-white one.

My Garden - Rose Rose

I love this rose. It is the bush type. I planted several years ago. The color is almost an antique pink. Very reliable.

Roses

I finally pruned my roses. Here is how my wonderful Easy Does It looks like now.

And here is how my Cecile Bruner (climbing rose) looks like (I trim the lower branches, and make the remaining branches go over the fence. This rose is planted on the other side of the fence.)

December Northern California - Bay Area - Things To Do #8 - Flowers

We need to feed the shrubs and trees that bloom wight after the New Year's Day. Wow!!! I am no sure what is in my garden that this rule should apply. I will keep my eyes open this year, and do it next year.

Some articles also say that you can prune your roses now, or wait until January. Holiday is a busy time of the year. I will wait until January.

Some articles also recommend to prune fruit trees and vines. I think I will do that in January. For sure I will prune my Clematis vines. Clematis is one of these flowers that just fascinate me. They are so beautiful. It is almost not possible to believe that such flower exist.

Here are some of the Clematis that I have in my yard.

This clematis is a mix of purple and shades of dark pink. This flower is big, and gorgeous.

This is the way this clematis look now.

This clematis is dark pink. The flowers are also big, and also gorgeous.

This is the way this clematis looks now.

This clematis is dark purple. The flowers are much smaller than the previous ones. However, the number of flowers is far more than the others.

This is the way this clematis looks now.

Rose - Easy Does It - 10

Another picture of the rose called Easy Does It. It was the only winner in 2010 of the AARS award.

What do you think? I really love this rose. I got mine at Costco, during last fall, bare-root. They usually have a good selection of roses, and usually have the AARS winners for the year. I also saw this rose at other stores. I got mine together with a yellow rose that I have to confess that I did not like that much then...  However, I was wrong: it is another beauty! I will share some pictures of that rose too soon...

In this picture, it looks like that the rose has white stripes. It does not have. The "stripes" are concentration of light when I took the picture.

I am really happy with it. You do not even have to "clean" it, that is, remove the buds after they are done.
