Tillandsia Cyanea
This is one of the most interesting plants I ever got!
First, you see the spine in the middle (the pink thing).
Then, suddenly, purple flowers start to come out of the middle of the pink thing.
Because you can see through the pink spine, you can see that there is something there... but I would never imagine that the purple flower would appear. It was a great surprise.

Begonia
The begonias are flowering right now, inside the house. I got this begonia from a teacher. The flowers were gone, and, most likely, it would be tossed. Being patient, and loving this plant when it was flowering, I asked if I could have it. She gave it to me.
It definitely paid off: beautiful flowers! What do you think?

Houseplants - Time to take care of them
While there is less things to do outside, it is time to take care of some of the plants inside the house.
Now it is a good time to clean some foliage of the houseplants. Days are shorter... So, there is less light inside. Cleaning the leaves, make it possible for the plants to use better the less light that is available.
Here are is a picture of my Christmas Cactus:
I went ahead and cleaned all the leaves, as they had some dust on it.
And a house plant that I am taking chances leaving outside :-)
These are some of my ferns. I used to have lots and lots of different ferns when living in Brazil!
